PD stands for Professional Display.

A PD Panel is the highest quality LCD Commercial product which has been designed and manufactured for continuous operation up to 24 hours per day/ 7 days per week in a wide variety of uncontrolled environments. The brightness of the PD Panel can vary from 450 Nits to 2500 Nits - the brighter version making it ideal for sunlight affected and outdoor applications.

Applications for the PD include
  • Public Information Displays (PID)
  • At Entertainment venues - theatre, casinos, poster boards
  • Drive through Menu Boards
  • Advertisement Displays
  • Transportation - Passenger Information Displays, Flight Information Displays, Road Information Displays
  • Outdoor Digital Signage
  • Many more

A TV Panel has been designed and manufactured for use at home in a controlled environment with the vision that it will only be switched on for 6-8 hours per day/ 5 days per week (depending on manufacturer) and generally has a standard brightness of around 300-450 nits.
